Ty hated leaving her, but circumstances weren’t in his favor at the time. When he was able to come for her, she had disappeared. Now that he’s found her again, he’s determined to keep her around, even though he is competing with her wide use of toys and her memories of the past. He’s just got to succeed, even if he's required to put his life on hold.

Hard To Get was paced just right with enough time to absorb the characters and their actions before moving on to other scenes. The characters were likable and understandable thanks to the author's descriptions and the way she tied their actions with their past. The plot moved from one event to the next seamlessly. It easily followed a natural progression with enough angst inserted to keep the reader on her toes physically and emotionally. The sex scenes were written with depth and emotion, some very explicit and some very emotional. There are scenes, both directly and indirectly, of anal sex.

I loved how the title was such an explanation of the characters and their emotional hang-ups. This author has taken a very real concept and turned it into a great romance - teenagers in a bad situation making stupid decisions for all the right reasons and how it affects them in their adult lives. The biggest lesson in this book is that with true love, you can conquer anything.
