| Hadden Robertson and Katherine Polanski have missed so many chances to be together since their murder, in 1886. Now they wait for the right moment to reunite their trapped souls. Hayden Roberts is in love, at least that’s how he feels after getting a glimpse of Kara. After their meeting, he gets the feeling they have met before. Kara knew the moment she set her sights on Hayden, if she could have a lover, he would be the one. She is certain she has met him somewhere before. Hayden is one elusive man she really wants to get to know. In honor of Halloween, and in remembrance of the 120th anniversary of the death of Hadden and Katherine, six people get to spend the night in the Polanski House. When Hadden and Kara are chosen as two of the lucky six, the thoughts of ghosts and creatures going bump in the night is something she isn’t prepared for, until one look at Hadden and that smile of his makes her toasty all over. The Polanski House, and ghosts, freak Kara, but spending the night with Hayden by her side, was an even more challenge. Hayden knows what he wants, and it is Kara, but something within in the house stirs sensations and sends voices that cause a heated desire that neither can resist.
Haunted Dreams is not only a feel good story about two people, from the past and the present finding love and desiring to be with one another, but it is a story that captivates and makes the reader part of the ambience. Hayden is so dreamy and Kara is just magnetic and together they ignite in many ways. Karen Erickson pens a story that draws in the reader, allowing a closeness with the characters. From the moment I started reading about Hadden and Katherine, my heart went out to the two separate souls seeking to be with one another again. Toss in Kara and Hayden, and the tale not only grows more intense but even more gratifying. This is one marvelous read.
