| Anita had always felt at home in the mountains, coming there many times to hike and commune with nature. On her last trip, she fell and injured her head. Wondering around in a delirious state, tired, hungry and dehydrated, she sees a beautiful, black jaguar that seems to be leading her to safety. Waking up in the hospital she has vague memories of the cat as well as a man making glorious love to her and knows she has to find him again. She returns to the mountains but her cat, Rakahnja, feels like she could never accept his way of life. What will she have to do to convince him, and will it be too late after more humans come onto their mountain?
Rakahnja’s Haven is a well written, fast paced story that is all about true love warring against all adversaries. Rakahnja never thought he could be accepted by a human. His past has shaped the man/cat he has become and it takes the love of Anita to show him what they can have. Anita is a strong heroine, lost in the life she has been living, until that fateful journey into the mountains where she encounters Rakahnja and finds her future. Her strength and determination bring forth his human side and her perseverance is the key to opening his eyes and heart.
