| Hawk has been framed for the murder of an informant. Once a member of the Elite Operatives, he finds himself a mercenary for hire now. He owes his former boss his life and his freedom, so when he asks him to do a special project for him, he agrees. He never bargains on finding his mate.
Kylie is the daughter of two Entra scientists. Because of her parentage, it's against the law for her to have a life mate or have children, so she dedicates her life to the study of Delphin's a highly intelligent dolphin like creature. Her parents have become infected with a brain disease that has ravaged her planet. Kylie is trying to find a cure, and the Delphin's DNA is key to that. When she arrives at the research facility, she has no idea that she is going to fall in love, and be embroiled in some deadly schemes to prevent them from finding a cure. Will Hawk and Kylie be able to stay together when all the secrets come out? Hawk's redemption started out as a good story; I really enjoyed it at first. The characters were well rounded, and the interaction between the two was great. Unfortunately, the story was way to long. While all that happened in the book was important, the author could have condensed it considerably. I thought Hawk and Kylie were never going to get together. While the story flows well, it seemed to drag after about page 250. I did enjoy the story line; the dolphins were a great addition, as well as some of the side characters. I would have liked to see the story cut in half, or at least by a third, it would have made it better. I would try this author again, she has good ideas and can write well.
