| Jill Breckinridge was tired of being in her sister’s shadow. Meredith had it all. She had the looks, brains, confidence and personality. And if that wasn’t bad enough to have to live up to, Jill was still a virgin. It was time she took her life in her own hands and become a newer bolder Jill instead of the old bland librarian Jill.
She made a promise to herself that by the time she turned twenty-two she would not be a virgin any longer. She just needed to find a man who would let her do that without him knowing what she up to. And to make her search easier, she was invited to a post-derby costume party. That was where she decided she could kill two birds with one stone. She now had the place and the men she could chose from. Her plan was good in her head and even was working okay, that was, until Mr. Lone Ranger came into the picture. He was in her way and he disliked what she was there for. And when he found out, he had all he could do not to throw her off of the property. He would have too if it wasn’t for the fact that she had one too many drinks and wasn’t able to drive. He had to wait until she sobered up before he could walk her to her car. What he didn’t count on was the more he talked to her the more he liked her. Would he be the one who she would keep her promise with? And if she did follow through, would she be able to live with the fact that she had sex just for the sake of having sex? Would he, if he helped her keep that promise, be all right with not knowing who she really was? Or would they find out their true identities and then what? Vanessa Hart had me hooked from the first paragraph! If you’re looking for a fun, flirty, well-written love-story I highly recommend you read Hay Fever.
