| Tariana is a rare silver healer who does great good -- but her gift comes with a stiff price. Whenever she plies her craft, she must replenish her strength with lots of food and steamy sex. She has taken a string of casual lovers to fill her needs and keep her ability to heal those in need.
Now Tariana has been assigned to the ease the suffering of the handsome Greggor, who is dying slowly from an incurable disease. Gregor is afraid his worsening health has made it impossible to please any woman, and he is afraid to disappoint Tariana. If she is to save him, and herself, she must find a way to cure him, or at least hold the disease at bay for as long as possible. I loved this story and was only sorry that it wasn't longer. The scenes between Tariana and the men who fill her needs early on are pretty hot, but those with Tariana and Gregor smolder and burst into flames. Greggor is any woman's dream, if you can overlook the incurable disease. I loved that they each made each other better and stronger, filling each other's needs as nobody else possibly could. Simone Bern gave the story an intriguing ending as well. So, on that note, the only thing better than enjoying this novella is hoping for a longer version, to enjoy even more.
