When Renee Ryan hears a plot of someone planning to have someone else murdered while following her boyfriend, she doesn't know who to turn to. Because let's face it, no one is bound to believe her without proof.

Police officer Andy Jackson is one of Renee's closest friends, and when he learns about the conversation she's overheard in the local park, he doesn't know what to believe. However, when he finds she's taken it upon herself to investigate the threat, he has no choice but to follow.

I really got a good laugh out of this book and enjoyed the plot immensely which draws you in from the beginning with Renee trying to find why her boyfriend is being so secretive by following him. The dialogue was compelling because of its fiery intensity as Andy would do anything to protect Renee. Then there was also the way in which Renee went about gaining information. She wasn't exactly subtle, but determined to learn who the victim was and went to extremes to learn the truth. Even doing things one wouldn't expect of her, least of all Andy. The sex scenes were hot, even though they came a lot later in the story than I expected considering the sexual tension between these two was quite combustible. What I liked so much about the heroine was that Renee was a very sassy heroine, determined to solve the mystery without allowing anything to stop her. While with Andy, I liked his protective nature and that he wouldn't allow anything to happen to Renee because he cared so much about her.

Overall, this author has done an incredible job penning this amazing tale which now has me intrigued to read her other works.
