This is one hauntingly hot read! For a brief break in your day you can suspend reality and enjoy steamy love scenes, a run-down plantation house, ghosts and everlasting love as well as interracial romance and happily-ever-afters. Gil was a lovely hero, however I felt as if I got to know his ancestral ghost better than I knew him. Kylie is a heroine who is so fiercely independent that I thoroughly enjoyed watching her fall so hard and fast. I hate to make this comment because a short story is a short story, but I would have liked to see this expanded to explore more interaction with the ghosts and to get a deeper understanding of some of the characters including Alesia's. Overall I was highly entertained by this tale.
