| Beau Tucker and Katherine ‘Kit' McCauley are both stubborn people who don't communicate well. He's ready to move on from the Double C ranch and leave her behind rather than watch her flirting with others. She's trying to make him jealous enough to state his feelings. Their impasse seems to come to a head when an injured horse thief shoots Beau and kidnaps Kit.
Cindy K. Green pens a sweet western. Beau and Kit are the kind of couple that seems to be common to all ages and points in history. Both too afraid to be the first to speak of their feelings, they almost lose the chance for happiness before they can spit out the words of love each has been waiting for. Kit's a likeable character able to state her mind most of the time. She's got courage even if she doesn't have a lot of common sense when she tries to take on an armed kidnapper. Beau seems like a humble young cowboy who has no idea how his relationship with Kit will be seen by her father. This is a great story about young love in the old west.
