| In The Heart Of The Hunter we meet Asher Ter-Berron. He is on a mission for the High Commander. The subject of the mission is to locate Raine Thompson of Earth and return with her. She is to be a chosen mate. As a hunter Asher has no problem locating Raine. The problem comes in when he did not count on being so sexually attracted to Raine and her returning his feelings. He must get Raine to his brother, The High Commander without doing something they both will regret, like falling in love.
The Heart Of The Hunter is appropriately titled because it is all about the heart of this particular hunter. The character of Asher is sexually and emotionally attracted to Raine. He is willing to set aside his feelings for his brother and Raine. The character of Raine is portrayed as someone that is vulnerable and that has been hurt. She has set out on a course to enjoy herself. The various settings, the bar and back of the transport vehicle with restraints, make for very creative sexcapades. The dialogue is organized and easily followed, making for a fast read. The plot of the story is creative, love of a brother versus love of a woman. The romance is hot. The sex scenes are steamy and very creative, including some light bondage. As a highly sexual adventure I feel the readers will enjoy 'The Heart Of The Hunter,' by Laura Bacchi.
