Ms. Rhodes has done it again! Hearts & Bones is an action-packed, fast-paced, nail biter of a story that keeps you on your toes from the first page to the last. The saga of Will and Ethan’s love was so emotionally touching that I had to stop reading at times to just breathe. The plot was well-written and kept me engaged and the characters were just fantastic. Will and Ethan are opposites but somehow manage to be the perfect couple, even through their problems. The erotic scenes were charged with sexual tension and a depth of emotion that made them all the more exciting. Written with M.L. Rhodes blend of humor, plot, and deep emotion, Hearts & Bones, and its companion book, Never Let Go, are both keepers for me and Will and Ethan have been added to my list of favorite characters. I must warn future readers that some scenes were so emotionally deep that they were almost painful for me to read. There really is not a rating high enough for this book. It was completely off the charts for me and I know that when I reread it, and I will because it was just that good, that I will find even greater depths waiting for me to discover in this profound love story. I would say that I hope to see more of these characters but I’m afraid that nothing could touch this story and it’s place in my heart. This is definitely a recommended read for me!
