| Elaine received a mirror from the antique store. It was a gift from her grandfather which he’d purchased recently, right before he died. While looking at the mirror that evening, Elaine thought she could see into an old fashion drawing room. She put it down as stress and her mind playing tricks. She fantasizes about the man she watches in her mirror and somehow brings him into her time. Quinn is fascinated with his adventure and compares it to Jules Verne. Quinn has experience with horses and is willing to help Elaine with her business. She owns a stable where she boards horses and gives riding lessons. It is not long before Quinn and Elaine are deeply in love. Accidents begin to happen around the stable and someone is trying to run Elaine off her property. It will be up to Quinn and Elaine to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Margarett Dawson has created a passionately sexy story involving time-travel and an intriguing mystery. Elaine and Quinn are combustible as a couple. Described in explicit details it is easy to visualize the sexy interactions between the two. The sex is hot and frequent but it also contains humor. It is especially humorous when Quinn discovers Elaine’s drawer of sex toys and then goes about seeing what each thing does. But besides the romantic aspects of the story there is mystery and intrigue. Someone is out to run Elaine off her property and put her out of business. The reasons will surprise the reader. The characters are fully developed and make the reader care for their outcome. I found Quinn with his history a wonderful character. He is a man that never knew kindness from his father and carried many scars from his numerous whippings. I enjoyed the fact that things turn out well for him. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly. It successfully conveys the thoughts and emotions of the characters that go along with the story. The plot to get to the bottom of who is trying to run Elaine off her land and ruin her business is fulfilled and comes as a surprise. An exciting passionate adventure into mystery and time travel readers will be sure to enjoy this latest creation by Margarett Dawson.
