| After being offered a job as a police officer of Claremont County, Brad Zeller is looking to change careers. Because he feels it's his time to leave the military and find a career that offers a tad more peace and quiet. However, that plan almost falls through when he meets a woman that not only disturbs the peace, but also his peace of mind. Enter Liza Wright. She's sweet, sassy, and is a distraction he doesn't need yet can not resist.
Yvette Hines has penned an attention-grabbing read, filled with great humour and a little mystery. I really liked how Liza thinking Brad was a god, and not just because of his nickname – Thor —showed great creativity from this author. As to did Brad nicknaming Liza princess after learning she was the general's daughter. However, in saying that, I also really liked that she didn't want Brad to know who her father was, as she didn't want him to treat her any differently. Overall, Heated Restraints is a very good read with two very worthy main characters, and a bunch of secondary characters that added a little extra something to the story. The sex scenes were dynamic from their very first encounter on top of a pool table. As to, was the dialogue with Liza's sassiness and Brad's protective instincts; and the plot after a couple of events turn their worlds upside down. Making Brad realise there's nothing more important than apprehending her, and proving his love in a very delicious way that any female reader would be envious of, but still very happy to read. So don't miss out, because this book is money well spent.
