| Mac and Will have been best friends for fifteen years. Will has loved her since the beginning but Mac has always kept their relationship on a best friend level. After a particularly bad breakup with her last boyfriend, Mac comes on to Will. That is just the break Will has been looking for and he doesn't hesitate to take advantage of all the secrets she has shared over the years. Will knows just what Mac wants in and out of the bedroom and he plans to capitalize on that information and hopefully get his girl.
For a short story, this one packs quite a punch - sweet and spicy and everything in between. It has a great plot and manages to draw in the reader and hold their attention throughout. Mac's insecurities because of her psychic visions have kept her from forming any serious attachments with the exception of Will. He is her best friend, her confidant, and she is scared he won't be able to deal with actually experiencing one of her visions. Will's determination to be with Mac is a testament to his career as a Seal -- he doesn't give up, even though he does make some rather juvenile choices in trying to get her back. I'm a sucker for friends to lovers and this one doesn't disappoint!
