Aries, the God of War, virtually has his backside whipped by nobody other than Hera, Zeus’s wife. Aries had done badly and caused one too many deaths, mainly Zeus’s lover, and now the Gods decided he has to pay the price. When Hera threw him forward in time, his half-sister Aphrodite followed him and told him some things that she thought would help put her on his good side. Furthermore, telling him that Hera and other Gods thought he had to learn a lesson. One indication was that he had to look out for something shiny, it would help him.

He landed in the 1950’s as detective John Mars, and soon he was on a case involving a young blonde beauty which he rapidly took a shine to by the name of Linda Westguard. However, could she help him with his quest to become a God again? He soon realized what type of sparkly he needed to take notice of.

At times you could feel both characters as being both strong and weak, check out when they were at their sensual weakest. Personally, I would have liked more details in the story. What surprised me the most was the beard, it seemed to come almost too late in the story, and somehow I feel that his chest stated his strength, and that the beard was more of a surprise. It gave more of a Viking look rather than that of a God, maybe that was due to his size. As I read I found that the story was somewhat very sensual bordering on explicit. However, I found that the sex scenes were few and not descriptive enough to render the sensuality part as being overtly so.
