| When Clestie and her cousin Elizabeth inherit their Great Aunt Petunia’s magic shop they have no idea what to do with it. Clestie is a dancer and Elizabeth an accountant and neither have any knowledge of magic. They do feel a sense of responsibility towards their aunt’s memory. They decide to try to keep the store going by hiring qualified staff. Leo, the demi-god Lion, has been kicked out of the heavens by his father Zeus and needs help getting back home so he can help his subjects. Petunia is his only hope, but very unavailable, so he agrees to help Clestie and her cousin by doing astrological charts in return for help getting home. Clestie, along with most of the world is very attracted to Leo, but Leo is fascinated by Clestie and soon wonders if he really wants to go home.
After a slow start this story really gets entertaining. Clestie and Elizabeth find themselves in the most bizarre situation. Clestie and Leo are pretty hot together, but the reader will find herself laughing out loud at some of the situations they find themselves in. Elizabeth sort of serves as the voice of reason in this three-ring circus, but I wish she was a larger part of the story other than telling Clestie to Google everything. Leo’s sister Aphrodite is very protective of her little brother and by extension Clestie. Zeus and Hera are a pretty interesting couple. Add an abusive boyfriend turned alligator, a stolen camel, and a crazed zookeeper and you have one of the funniest romances that I have read all year.
