| Nate has loved with his best friend Jake all his life. Jake is aggressive, athletic, brave and a cop, while Nate is the complete opposite of him, a brilliant research scientist doctor. Nate has always known he was gay and always assumed that Jake was straight, but things are not always what they seem. One night the two men come together in a passionate encounter and Jake confesses that he has always loved Nate too. Now Jake has to prove to Nate that he is the one he has always wanted. Can Nate drop all his preconceived ideas and trust that Jake really does love him?
This was an incredibly sweet romantic story. It's one of those stories where you can believe that the two men will be together from the cradle to the grave and possibly beyond. The plot is interesting and while it is not anything new it is still a good story and the author tells it well. The only problem I had was that it tells the story from both men's point of view on the same events, so the book started out slowly for me until I got into the flow of how the book was written. This same thing also makes the book unique in that you can see what both were men thinking during each event and how their minds worked. I think I liked the character of Jake best because while is he is the alpha male of the book, his biggest weaknesses are that he cares about people, and that there is nothing he wouldn't do to make sure Nate is happy, like a hard candy shell with soft gooey center, yum! There are plenty of hot situations in the story but they are well written and fit well with the characters. I would definitely recommend this author and this book to anyone who loves a good romance. It makes you believe that each of us has that one person who completes us.
