Corine Solomon has the unusual ability to touch an object and know its history but this "gift" causes a lot of problems. Corine and her ex-boyfriend Chance barely survived their last adventure and now they are headed to Kilmer, Georgia. Kilmer is where Corine's mother was violently murdered and where she had to live in foster care where her "gift" frightened people. Corine needs to who killed her mother and maybe where her unusual talent comes from so she can move on with her life. But there is something deeply wrong with Kilmer, Georgia and Corine's return is just bringing it all to the surface.

Hell Fire is the second book featuring Corine and Chance. I'm really excited about this series. I love Corine's unusual talent and the messes she and Chance seem to stumble over. Chance has his own unusual talent that makes him very lucky but endangers the people around him as the luck has to be balanced by something. This second book builds on the first book and is even better; I can't wait to see what happens in a third book. Hell Fire is filled with danger, suspense, intrigue, and a very creative story line. I like Corine and Chance although they are a mess together. I found myself hoping they'll get back together and work out their relationship on one page and thinking that it is best that they don't on the next. I highly recommend that you read the first book in this series, Blue Diablo, before Hell Fire. If you have read Blue Diablo, then you will want to read Hell Fire!
