| Well, Beth Williamson has certainly maintained her high level of expertise with this, her newest book. I love this author. Ms. Williamson has set the standards so high that it will be extremely difficult for anyone to reach her high level of success. She just continues to raise the altitude of accomplishment so much so that I am constantly amazed with each new novel.
Kincaid, a gunslinger with a big reputation, had given up his guns—to the point of burying them under a tree on the new property he purchased with his accumulated funds from his prior occupation. He changed his name to Cade Brody, a man with a past, who just wanted to be left alone on his small spread outside Eustace. Cade was a little spooked by the appearance of various types of food on his doorstep. He never saw the “ghost” but constantly saw the evidence. Eustace General Store was owned by sisters, Sabrina Edmonds and Ellen O’Neill. They, too, had a shadowy past. Ellen had scars to show for her history. Sabrina had to run the store alone because of Ellen’s refusal to be seen in public and the fact that her husband had been killed five years ago. Ellen’s fiancé disappeared about the same time. Ms. Williamson’s main characters are once again rich in personality and integrity. They both show the signs of their strong personalities. Neither was looking for love, but that volatile chemistry is once again part of her manuscript. Through a myriad of circumstances, this author has developed them into a couple which is better together than the two could ever be as individuals. Her subordinate cast of characters was diverse and totally believable. They asserted various attributes which greatly enhanced the storyline. Once again, Ms. Williamson has penned a book I found almost impossible to put down. It was, and is, a magnificent work of art which I was honored to read and review. I cannot possibly properly express my love of this book. All I can do is highly recommend that you read this book as quickly as possible.
