Amara is an angel who falls in love with Callum, a fallen angel turned demon. She goes to Hell to seek him and declare her love. Callum, rescued by Lucifer and taken to Hell after he was thrown from heaven for a crime he didn't commit, wants revenge. He takes Amara a prisoner, longing to send her back to heaven destroyed, but he hasn't bargained on love getting in the way.

Hell's Angel is an intriguing spin on the much-used theme of angels and demons. Amara and Callum are two vastly opposed beings whose desire for the other is instantaneous on meeting. Soon lust gives way to love and Callum is questioning whether he can let Amara go.

Amara is keen to stay in Hell. Hell is painted as a reasonable place, with Lucifer an accommodating, even pleasant chap, who urges Callum to follow his instincts.

The story is well written and well paced with interesting characters. But readers will need to suspend disbelief about an angel being so keen to live in Hell. I was disappointed that Lucifer's character wasn't more well sketched and intriguing and hoped for more from his rather brief appearance. All in all, a solid three hearts.
