| Hermod walks into Quenell’s hut to find her naked with the two men she’s just had sex with. He needs her help to kill the giantess Varra who is the only one in the land not grieving for his brother Balder.
Tonya Ramagos pens an excellent story of the gods of old and how they ruled the earth in the time of centaurs, lizard-people, gnomes and others who are part human, part animal. Add to that the erotic images of love, passion, ménages and you’ve got quite a book. The tale of Hermod and Quenell is true love at its best working through all of the obstacles in their path. Not only do they have to battle their own emotions but also the jealousy and greed of others. Ms. Ramagos builds the mystery of who is trying to kill them to stop their quest into a fine bit of suspense that kept me guessing to the end. This exotic tale of fantasy is part of a great series of books. Each is a stand alone read. Each satisfying in itself without the others. It’s just so much more fun to read them all if you’re a fantasy fiction fan.
