| Kris Anderson has some very unexpected surprises for her fortieth birthday; she finds out that she is not human; that the sexy man who invites himself to her birthday dinner is a werewolf and that someone (thing) is trying to kill her. Kris always knew that she was adopted, but she never knew anything about the mother who abandoned her. Dade McClur, one of a large family of hunky male werewolves, can tell by Kris's aura that she is not human. Unfortunately, none of the supernatural beings know exactly what she is. In order to protect her, they decide that Kris should have sex with each of four different beings, one of whom is Dade. Then she will have the scent of a variety of beings.
Her Werewolf started out strong and Ms. Andel laid out a wonderful plot. Kris is both attracted to and by these magnificent men, although Dade is her choice from the beginning. I was having a wonderful time reading and being aroused by the graphic sex, when I felt that Ms. Andel lost control of her plot. I found the middle section, where Kris's defenders start to figure out exactly who or what is after her to be rather confusing. Kris is kidnapped and brought back during this section and I found that I had to reread it in order to follow that part of the plot. There were some attempted rape scenes, but since they were not completed, once that section was finished I was happy again. Ms. Andel has a wonderful grasp on her characters. The variety of supernatural beings were extremely well described, as were Kris and her family. How do you tell a mother that your adopted daughter is having protective sex? Ms. Andel knows! The regular sex was fabulous and I enjoyed the ending immensely! I am eager to read another book by Ms. Andel.
