| In a town like Norwich it doesn't pay to be different-especially when being different means being gay. Terry knows this all to well. Having been ostracized and labeled Terry the Fairy, he wants nothing more than to get away from the town that suffocates him and be free to be just who he is.
When Terry meets superstar Hockey player Adrian Vincent, he is overcome with his attraction to the man. Sure that it's a hopeless cause he resigns himself to memories of the beautiful specimen he met by chance. Until Adrian asks him to help him fix up his mother's old house. When Terry agrees he find more than he bargained for with the famous Hockey player. D.J. Manly has written a great story. This is a fast paced read that held my attention from the very beginning. I liked Terry and felt sorry for the way he was treated and rooted for him to finally get something good in the end. The characters in this story were very real and came to life through the excellent writing of Mr. Manly. Although this is not the genre that I prefer to read, I found that I enjoyed this story much more than I thought I would. It proved to me that if a story is well written, a reader can step outside of their "norm" and enjoy great stories of all genres. I applaud Mr. Manly for this compelling read and will certainly be looking for more from him. I highly recommend this story to lovers of romance and especially those of gay fiction.
