An action packed addition to the KGI series, Hidden Away can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend the previous two books also. This series features members of the Kelly family who are by no means perfect but embody sound family values. Their integrity and commitment to each other make them perfect heroes. Garret is no exception. He is rehabilitating from a gun shot wound so he is the perfect choice to shadow Sarah. I loved how he quickly grasped that Sarah didn't share her brother's values and was fighting demons of her own. Although Marcus was considered the villain, his dedication to Sarah redeemed his somewhat in my eyes. The plot held my attention with its mix of action, adventure, and romance enhanced by the quick pacing. Garret and Sophie experienced lots of struggles on their journey that some might consider too graphic for a romance but I thought they were perfect for this suspenseful plot. Their characters were put to the ultimate test and they passed with flying colors! Sexual tension built throughout most of the story allowing the reader to get invested in the developing relationship. Garret and Sarah were certainly the highlight of this book but the secondary characters added depth and interesting details that made Hidden Away a keeper for me.
