| Sage Ralston has been hired by a big firm called Boylston Electronics, her dream job. She'll be an office assistant for the man in charge, Charles Boylston. Sage soon learns that she won't be his office assistant but a spy for him. She will be watching the other employees closely and reporting back to Charles on any unusual behavior. Charles informs Sage that someone within the company is trying to destroy him and Boylston Electronics and he wants her to find out who it is.
Once Sage gets to know Connor, the woman Charles believes is the one behind the sabotaging attempts, she's sure Connor is innocent. Now Sage is bound and determined to prove her new friend's innocence and find the real person selling company secrets. When I read the blurb to this story I expected it to be fast paced. I expected a real action thriller. The book itself is not slow and Droney does an excellent job with her twists and turns. The plot will have the reader wanting more. You'll never know Sage's next move until it hits you in the face. Also, Sage is a young woman who believes in the good of people and who just wants to live her life. But now she has been thrown into the crossfire of a company going under. This story offers something for everyone -- romance, thrills, chills, wants, needs, and the wonderment of what is going to happen next. Sage has her problems just like any other character including her love life and her family life, which adds diversity to the story. It's not focused on a few characters and the problems at hand. Droney has a way of including the readers in her story. A few pages in and I no longer felt like I was reading Hidden Desires, but I felt like I was actually in Hidden Desires just waiting to see what is going to happen next. If you are looking for a read that can conquer all emotions, fear, desire, want, need, love, and much more than this is the book you must buy! It's like several books in one story with all the plot lines. But don't worry, Droney won't leave you behind, she has a way of weaving her scenes together to keep you up-to-date.
