Historical romance

Ruined, that was what she was. Catriona MacKenzie is compromised by the man she is to marry and sent away to her godmother's until the rumors die down. Arriving at Lady Margaret's home she meets Rory, Lady Meg's nephew, a dark and handsome highlander. Late one night Catriona hears a noise and watches as Rory walks into the fireplace only to return a few minutes later. How is that possible?

Rory Cameron doesn't need a stranger around the house, not even one as pretty as Catriona. Deep into rebellious plots and smuggling, Rory doesn't want her to learn of his secretive dealings. Catching her in the tunnel to the caves he uses intimidation to try and teach her a lesson, he doesn't want her near that cave and the people who frequent it. When that doesn't work he tries seduction, only he finds that the seducer is being seduced.

I am so glad I had the privilege of reviewing this book. Ms. Dunn's writing is very detailed allowing the reader to visualize what she is describing. She brings her characters to life with feeling and emotion. I loved the way she had Rory fighting his feelings for Cat, and how in the end what he though was important wasn't as important as Cat. It seemed for a while that nothing could go right for Cat, but she stood up to it all with only a few tears and got all that she wanted in the end. A wonderful, hard to put down book, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
