| Andrew Marshall, patriarch of the Clan Keith, has been imprisoned in a box by his wife Isobel, a witch, after he killed her lover. For months he's been appearing to Fiona Stewart asking her to help him right the wrong that was done to his family. Fiona and Ian, current head of the clan, manage to free Andrew from the curse but it's harder to convince friends Abby and Liza that they're right for one another.
Liadan Brodie writes one of those classic love stories where a little suspense blends well. Fiona and Ian are a great match. It's too bad her friends Abby and Liza can't see that. They manage to disrupt the couple's relationship as often as they can. If it's not the two girls it's Andrew popping in whenever he wants to put his two cents worth into the relationship. Ian is a great character, much more patient than most men would be. He finally comes up with a perfect solution to the problem. One almost certain to keep the friends together while still giving him the woman he loves. This is a well crafted story with that bit of humor to keep it moving.
