| In Winter Heat by Dawn Halliday, we meet Maggie MacDonald who has been promised to a cruel man against her will. When she refuses him, he kidnaps her. She escapes only to find herself stranded in a blizzard alone and quickly freezing. Will Logan Douglas, a highland warrior, save her life, only to lose her to a fate worse than death or in saving her will he save them both?
In Yuletide Enchantment by Sophie Renwick, we meet Isobel MacDonald who is spending Christmas in the Highlands, where she meets Prince Daegan, the man of her dreams. However, she will soon find there are things she doesn't know about her Prince, which could cost her everything, including her life. In A Christmas Spirit by Cindy Miles, we meet Paige MacDonald who has decided to spend Christmas driving across the Highlands, until her rental car dies and she is stranded at a not quite empty castle, with a not quite living Gabriel Munro. This book consists of three stories by three great authors. All of these stories were very different, yet a lot alike. They were all similar in that each story was about a Highland Warrior and his fight to get the woman of his dreams. However, they were very different in that they were all set in different times ranging from mid-evil to modern day. I thoroughly enjoyed each of these stories, although I have to say I liked Yuletide Enchantment the most, it flowed smoothly and really pulled me into the story. A Christmas Spirit was a little slower paced tale, but so sweet. And Winter Heat by far had the most excitement. I have to say this book had something for everyone, action, adventure, ghosts and lots of sexy warriors. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great historical that has a little bit of everything.
