| Scottish Lady Anice was trying to avoid the advances coming from King Henry when she climbed out of the tower window. She did not expect to fall into the arms of the handsome Highlander Laird Malcolm MacNeill. King Henry is married to Anice's cousin and has made her his ward. He is determined that she marry an English nobleman. Anice wants to return to her home in Scotland and find a good Scottish lad of her own to marry. Winning the Highlander's Heart by Terry Spear is an exciting adventure filled with action and intrigue. Malcolm and Anice make a wonderful couple. The chemistry between them is very strong and their attempts at denying it, at times is humorous. Malcolm is the typical alpha male. He wants to protect Anice from harm and at times can be quite domineering. Anice does not take to being ordered around. With her special gift of sight and her skill with the crossbow, she is not some weak frail lady. She is strong when she has to be. Anice is also very sensitive and seems vulnerable at times. She finds that Malcolm is the perfect person to share her burdens with and she trusts him to help fight the danger they will face. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly. It successfully conveys the thoughts and emotions of the characters. The plot for Anice to discover the trouble at her castle and marry is successfully completed. Winning the Highlander's Heart is a thrilling action-filled adventure that will capture the attention of the reader and keep him spellbound till the very end.
