| Scotsman-Hamish Buchanan has always known that he’s different, a man with secrets. Only his closest family members know. Lately he’s felt agitated and unsure of why. When he meets Grace Strachan for the first time, and the resulting explosion of feelings that almost consumes him, he realizes what is happening. Grace is his mate. But will his secrets destroy any likelihood of a relationship?
Grace Strachan is a self-made successful milliner. Her popularity and skill have made her sought after by the rich and famous. Unlike her professional persona, her inner sexual being is submissive. So when she meets the obviously domineering and sexy Hamish Buchanan, he not only makes her long for Scotland, her homeland, but he heats her blood with desire. She knows Hamish is keeping something from her and this makes her very uneasy. Highland Heat is a rather strange and unusual story. It is definitely unique. The love scenes are extremely well written, smoldering with sensuality. Although Tilly clearly has a vivid imagination, I felt that I needed a more in-depth understanding of the hero and heroine's motivations. Especially the heroine. Nevertheless, the story entertained me and kept the pages turning. I personally had some difficulty coming to terms with the paranormal aspect of this story. On the other hand I was intrigued on how she’d follow through and wasn’t disappointed. If you like the unusual, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
