Highland Mist by Donna Grant is a story of love and discovery. Conall has never met anyone like Glenna. She is wise and innocent. This is a magical story filled with druids and elves. The characters all have an interesting history that shapes their personalities. The wonder that Glenna experiences as she sees plants and trees makes Conall stop and see the beauty that exists around him. The romance grows slowly, although the attraction is present from the very beginning. It is a beautiful experience where Glenna awakens sexually and falls in love with Conall. She faces the hate from those that have suffered from her father. She is a strong character that understands why they feel the way they do. She is kind and loving to all that need her. Conall comes to fall in love but he must get his sister back. He is a man of honor who has pledged to many oaths. He denies the druid blood that flows in his veins. He must come to accept himself if he is to defeat McNeal and save his people. The dialogue flows smoothly and conveys the thoughts and feelings of the characters. Donna Grant has written a wonderful story of love and acceptance and of magic and discovery. It is sure to be enjoyed by all that love magic and romance.
