| Wife #2 for him; husband #2 for her. This is a marriage-for-convenience, but their pasts promised to make a bad situation worse! Reno Sullivan was CEO of Guardian Security and the “father” of one-year-old, Lexie. His wife Maggie had died several months ago. Since then he had been unable to have anything to do with the beautiful little girl. Sarah, a widow for five years, was executive secretary to Reno, his partner Nick Vanetta, and Reno’s younger brother Tony. She had efficiently kept the business running for years. She was a beautiful woman who loved children but was told that she would never have them. All Reno saw was her organizational skills. He wanted her to marry him to be a mother for Lexie and to regain control of his house and staff.
To say their lives were chaotic would be an understatement. Sarah fell instantly in love with Lexie. The only problem Sarah had was watching Reno ignore his daughter and seeing the pain in his eyes. Of course, the couple was immediately attracted to each other which totally challenged the “no sex” rule for their marriage. Between the secrets each brought into the marriage and the sexual tension they faced each time they came into contact with each other, there was a frenzy that could wreck their marriage. I loved this book. It got all the important points across. How the story ended, the circumstances which take place to work out the details, are incredible. There is not a dull moment in the book and it is just about impossible to put it down. As I reached the end of the book, I found myself wishing for a continuation.
