Darius Rourke, owner and occupant of Stonewell Court left home before. He had tried to get his beautiful neighbor, Marianne George, out of his mind. When he returned years later, he was immediately drawn to the lovely Marianne once again. He had allowed her to grow up (he was at least 10 years older) but he would wait no longer.

Marianne George's father had become a drunk after the death of her mother. He now had spent everything and they were headed to debtor's prison. Darius offered to pay his bills and give him a monthly allowance if he would allow him to marry Marianne. She refused on the spot. However, after they received a notice to evacuate, she changed her mind. Darius managed to get the woman he loved. He had no way of knowing how much else he would get in the bargain.

Ms. Raine Miller has presented us with a unique tale of long-lasting love and the feelings of inadequacy felt by the insecure Marianne. Her characters are well written and interesting. Her supporting cast was also likeable and helped to get the story across to readers. The majority of the book was the interactions between the main couple.

This book was graphic. The sexual encounters were scorching. I don't believe this would be a good read for the faint hearted. The wording was quite visual and sexual scenes were frequent. This quick-read was a page turner. The ending was surprising. Miller has, once again, written a big hit. Congratulations, Ms. Miller!
