| For Dr. Audrey Chao, one of the top specialists in exotic diseases, without trust there is nothing to a relationship! Audrey is in love with Marcus Bruhn, who she knows is secretly the superhero Centurion, but he is unwilling to share the truth with her, even regularly lies to her to maintain his secret and Audrey just canąt take it anymore. Marcus doesnąt understand why Audrey has rejected him but he is determined to make a life without her until a virus begins to attack superheroes and she is probably the only person who can help them. Can Audrey save the superheroes? Can Centurion face his own fears and be upfront with Audrey and win her back?
If you love superheroes like I do, this is a really cute story. All superheroes apparently face the dilemma about who they can trust to share their secret with and you would think if Marcus wants to marry Audrey, as he claims, he could tell her his secret. Audrey cannot live with Marcus unwillingness to tell her the truth and it is a shame because Audrey and Marcus are perfect for one another. They are both highly intelligent, dedicate their lives to saving the lives of others, and have out of this world physical chemistry. Now Marcus needs Audrey to save the lives of the superheroes probably including his own. Audrey will have to put her professionalism before her personal pain to succeed and just working on the task is also putting her own life at risk. If you have superheroes, you have villains and the bad guys will kill anyone who attempts to stop their plan to kill or control the superheroes. Of course in a superhero story the stakes are extremely high; if Audrey fails the entire world is at risk. An intriguing plot, epic good verses evil battles, extreme danger to the heroes and heroines, and sensual and erotic love scenes make this a fun and entertaining read!
