| Eva, Max's aunt, has made a prediction that he would find his mate in Hoboken. She's never been wrong, but Max just can't understand why he has to go through with this. Who needs a life mate, anyway? When he gets caught in wolf form in the city, he gets thrown in the pound. Could it get any worse?
When JC goes to the pound to pick up a dog, she never expects to come back with a huge dog with a horrible disposition to everyone but her. Something drew her to him at the pound, and she couldn't resist bringing him home, especially when it was his last day before euthanasia. Once she got him clean, she decided to name him Fluffy, and bought him a pink leash and all the dog trimmings. It's odd, but sometimes she thinks the dog understands what she's saying more than is possible. That couldn't happen though, could it? Wolf Mates- An American Werewolf in Hoboken is a very funny tale of a man that finds his life mate in a most unusual way. I laughed out loud sometimes at the things that JC does to max, unintentionally of course. The indignities that Max suffers as Fluffy are things that some perfectly sane people do to their dogs, and that's part of what made it so funny. I thought that Max's family was very unusual for werewolves pack, and when you read it you'll see why. JC is decidedly confused about what is going on, as anyone would be in her situation. The sex was urgent and passionate; you might want to have a glass of ice water handy. Truly a good time, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a chuckle after a bad day.
