| FBI Special Agent in Charge Caitlin Chaney is a follow the rules and regulations kind of woman. She has spent her whole career trying to prove, to herself and others, that her father's influence isn't how she has climbed the latter of success. Now she has to go undercover as a newlywed with an agent who prefers gut reaction over protocol.
Agent Jake LeFevre operates on instinct and doesn't want to babysit sit some politician's daughter. She has no undercover experience and her career-focused attitude reminds him of his ex-wife. But the intensity between them turns from dislike to attraction and now they have to decipher their case and clarify their budding relationship. This was a book full of strong, wonderful characters. I can't wait for Alex to have a story of his own and I just love Charlotte who seemed to jump right off the pages. I really liked Jake and Caitlin, they were both interesting characters but I found it hard to believe that the two would actually end up together under the circumstances. I think this book had just too much action going on. The plot was very complicated seeming to go into too many directions, making it difficult to follow because of the intricacy. I would have been happy had the book ended earlier without the added scenario. Overall I found this book a little disappointing but I'm looking forward to reading some of her other work.
