Bayo St. Claire, a beautiful heiress in San Francisco, enters a fundraiser, making her way through the crowd to Aunt Maddy, the hostess of the occasion. Daire Holland is watching from the patio. Daire works for C.O.R.E. - Counterintelligence and Override Reconnaissance for Eradication. C.O.R.E. is trying to capture the kingpin of the Ochoas drug cartel. Daire is a former Navy SEAL, had worked with the CIA and is a hero much like James Bond. Mark Delaney, Bayo's fiance, is under surveillance because of his contacts in Guatemala. Mark is a coffee importer. He has an import-export business and contacts in numerous countries. Bayo breaks her engagement with Mark that night because he's been having an affair. Bayo meets Daire at the party and learns he's head of the new security for her father's shipping company.

When I first started reading this book, I thought this would make an excellent Steven Seagal movie. It has action, danger, intrigue, beautiful people, lots of different settings, a mission involving people all over the world, a martial arts trained hero, a beautiful heroine. This story is the first in a new series by Ms. Rebel called Daringly Dangerous. Holland Daze is Book 1. It is so very intense. The eroticism between Bayo and Daire is SO VERY HOT I envied them both. Daire is like a man in my fantasies - bigger than life and an overwhelming masculine presence. When Bayo first saw him, she thought she was in the presence of a pirate. Bayo is wealthy, intelligent, beautiful and good at writing and photography. She approaches life with directness. She is an engaging character. When Bayo and Daire spent time together, there was so much chemistry. This book is so beautifully written. I can't wait for the next one in the series. I recommend it to everyone.
