| Holly is a submissive who is no longer in search for the perfect
master. In fact, she's not looking to have any man in her life for a
very long time. Her last master hurt her very badly, beating her and
abusing not only their relationship but the trust she put into his
hands. Holly doesn't intend to let any man abuse her like that again,
so she thinks it's best to just avoid a relationship altogether.
However, when the mortgage to her bookstore is bought out by another
company, she has a new worry on her hands. Book Ends, while a popular
local bookstore, is facing hard times just like most businesses. Holly
knows if the terms of the mortgage are changed even a little, it could
mean the end of her store, a store that's been in her family since the
early sixties. It's home to Holly and the thought that it could be
destroyed is tearing her up inside.
The new owner of the mortgage, Ethan Clarke, doesn't want her business or the property it is located on. All he wants is Holly. Though he saw her only once at a bondage party a year or so ago, he's never forgotten her. When he heard what Holly's previous master had done to her, the rage almost drove him wild. Now all he wants is one weekend with Holly, a chance to show her that not all men are creeps, and that perhaps, she could trust her heart to him. Ethan's taking a big chance, but he knows if he can win Holly's love, the rewards will be well worth the effort. But will Holly go along with his plan, or is she too scarred to risk being with a man again? Holly is an enticing tale of a woman who loves bondage but doesn't know if she can ever get over her fear of what a man can do to her when she is helpless. The healing process begins from the moment Ethan and Holly meet and the sparks singe the pages as Holly reluctantly agrees to his weekend plan. I really enjoyed watching Holly come alive again, seeing her recover her sexuality with the help of a man who truly loved her. It is amazing what the power and sensuality of love can do to a story, and Dominique Adair proves once again that love is the main motivation behind Ethan's plan. It was wonderful watching Ethan fall in love with the reality of Holly, and not just his dreams. Very touching and emotional, along with spots of humor and eroticism, Holly is sure to please fans of BDSM stories as it perfectly encapsulates the trust and love that should be part of any D/s relationship.
