Beneath the Mistletoe by Charlotte Featherstone: Christmas Eve 1797. Holly is given a present from her best friend Andrew that surprises and shocks her. And in the morning he is gone. December 1805-8 years later and Andrew has returned home. The first night and he is there at her house, his desire obvious. Hollys feelings of desire, elation and but also unease are felt by her grandmother, a ghostly figure whose physical body had passed away in the last year. Holly resisting his advances doesnt faze Andrew; he intends to claim her for good, irreversibly. She will be his. And he is a man who gets what he wants.

A Bluestocking Christmas by Monica Burns: A special ghost from Ivys past shows her what may be important, and what may not, in a persons life over an evening of visits to the past. Ivy learns something unexpected about the man she has fallen in love with, and a lot about the misconceptions she has had in regards to her family.

A Kind of Magic coauthored by both: Julia is under deadline stress, her characters just arent talking to her and her ex-fianc is DJing on the radio probably just to drive her crazy. She hasnt been sleeping well, having dreams that make her uneasy, and she decides a change is necessary. Planning to go away for Christmas to England, the mysterious man from her dreams is unexpectedly her seatmate. His persistence over the next few days will aid in bringing some hidden feelings and memories to light and that with the help of a certain ghostly relative.

Full of characters all searching for that something missing in their lives and surprised when that special someone is suddenly there, unexpectedly. I enjoyed these stories immensely. Each story is separated by one or more generations, tied together by family and a special ghost from the past. Loved the persistence of the Alpha heroes, by the way. Definitely recommended reading!
