The premise of the story drew my interest because it sounded like it was character-driven, which turned out to be true. It's one of those rare instances when the celebrity love interest is made real. Mark Cannon isn't lovable to the reader because he's an actor. He's lovable because he falls for Andrea, a woman who seems a lot like the rest of us. Andrea is a bit of a mess. She's in a situation where she lets her boss/boyfriend take advantage of her good nature because she so badly wants her dreams of becoming a reporter to come true. Being with Mark helps her gain confidence and reject people who are out to use her—something he does all the time as a famous actor.

The erotic scenes were a bit scanty of details. I would have liked to see more emotion and sensory language used. However, they were still hot, and the affection the two characters have for one another shines through. The plotting was a little contrived in places, but the story was sweet enough to keep me from wanting to put it down. It's an entertaining and enjoyable story.
