| Wiley decides that she needs some time off from the world as she knows it, so she takes her dog and goes into the wilderness like she's done before. While she's sure it's not needed, she leaves a note with her best friend Jasmine, just in case something happens. She's always been safe before, so she doesn't think anything about it, until some very large wolves show up in her camp… and turn into very large men. They claim she belongs in their world and are determined to take her there, whether she wants to go or not.
Jayems can't believe it when they find Wiley. They'd thought her dead when she was a child, and this whole time she'd been in the other dimension of earth, living as an orphan. She's his destined mate, and even if she doesn't want him too, he's determined to make it up to her in every way… except for sending her back to her own world. This was an action-packed story that had a wonderful heroine that wasn't afraid to speak her mind. I liked Wiley's rough and tumble ways; although I think she should have fought Jayems just a little harder than she did. Such a resourceful woman should have been able to find her way out of the situation she was in, or at least make it more difficult for the men. I felt that Jayems didn't always feel like a real person to me, but Wiley's personality more than made up for it. I had a blast reading Darklands: Homecoming and I'll certainly be looking for more from Autumn Dawn in the future.
