Kevin Hartridge and Jason Brooks meet while on vacation. They have a torrid affair, and when they find out they both live in New York, they continue their affair. The two men buy a house together. When strange things start to happen in their new home, Jason suspects the house is haunted, but Kevin is not quite convinced, until after a night out, things happen that Kevin cannot explain away. After investigating the background of their new home, Jason and Kevin discover that there are seventeen bodies buried on the property. Can the two men find a way to put the spirits to rest or will their home forever be haunted?

This was an enjoyable story. While not anything completely new or surprising, it is interesting and at times suspenseful this was a good read for these long winter days. The story plot moves along smoothly without any awkward starts and stops. The premise is similar to the paranormal movies that are popular these days. The characters are a little bit one dimensional and maybe a little bit too perfect, but sometimes that is just what a person need. The characters don't always have to be flawed and scarred emotionally, to be enjoyable, sometimes you want your characters to be just plain nice people, who can work out their problems together with out too much drama or conflict. This is what I like about Mr. Simpson's writing, that while there is some drama in the stories, it not usually between the main characters. Kevin and Jason pretty much end being like soul mates, who meet while on vacation yet end up living within miles of each other. There are some m/m situations in the story, but nothing that doesn't fit in with the story or that will make you uncomfortable. I think that anyone who like a little of the paranormal with their romances, will find this book enjoyable.
