Viola Grace has written an excellent story of true love among aliens. The way she develops her characters, their cultures, their lives is well done.. She doesn’t leave us guessing about their traditions and family life. She gives us all the little details that help us see them in our mind‘s eye as real, no matter what shape they are in or what planet they come from. There are also great details about how Emily came to be so well loved by a spider-like race whose blood is toxic to hers.

From that she leads us into Emily’s relationship with her mates, one golden in color, one green who are still identical twins in every other way. The marriage ceremony for the three and the acceptance of the trio by their culture is well penned. Of course, there are always those potential mother-in-law woes no matter how many mates we have!

Ms. Grace’s tale is a great addition to this series. Like the others, it stands alone, can be read without ever picking up any of the others. It’s just superb fantasy however you look at it or whatever you‘ve read before.
