| When Samantha Cruise has a short fling with a masked man at a party, she doesn't expect to have it come back and bite her in the butt. Biteher it does however when she comes face to face with her masked loverthe next day. The sexy man she had a passionate encounter with is noneother than her new boss at The Planet, the newspaper where she is asports editor. Kurt Boscoe is handsome, sensual and all too appealing. But Samantha doesn't want an office romance.
That's one rule she won'tbreak. Kurt Boscoe is determined to convince her otherwise.
When Kurt's mysterious lover turns out to be an employee, he's notupset. He just wants more of Samantha. He sees no problem with anoffice affair and wants to prove to Samantha that work won't get inthe way of a fling. But things grow more complicated the more and moreinvolved Samantha and Kurt become. When he moves into the vacantapartment in the house she rents, suddenly Kurt is everywhere. Atwork, at home, and a desperate part of her wants him to be in her bed.The more time they spend together, the more a short fling appeals lessand less to them. Samantha and Kurt both start longing for somethingmore, but neither is sure of what to do about it, or how to confrontthe other. Will these two lovers get their act together before theyruin their chance at happily ever after? Hot Off the Presses is just that… hot! Kurt and Samantha'srelationship fairly steams with sensuality and eroticism, but it alsoburns with the glowing passion of love. I really enjoyed how Ms.Stilletto built this relationship slowly and steadily, rather than ata break-neck speed. The slower evolution allowed for a lot ofcharacter growth on both Samantha and Kurt's part, while also keepingthe relationship plenty romantic. The time they spent together reallyshowed how much this new relationship meant to them both. Kurt startedthe story as somewhat of a playboy, with little regard for a casualfling, but under Samantha's loving and humorous influence, he came toregard their affair as a true affair of the heart rather than a sexualfling. A strong plot involving newspaper politics, plenty of officehijinks, and an eclectic cast of secondary characters all helped Kurtand Samantha's relationship grow and prosper. Ms. Stilletto has wowed this reader with this tender and exciting lovestory. She has truly outdone herself.
