Aeron was determined to mine enough Cianta ore to free her younger sister from the pleasure-slaver to whom Sierra was indentured. Mining on a lonely asteroid was hard work, but Aeron had taken care of Sierra ever since their parents died. She just hoped that she wasn't jumping someone else's claim. After all, there were signs of digging.

Determined to become a Full-Alter, Kane was furious when he found out that there was someone digging in his mines. When he found out that his claim jumper was a beautiful woman, what would he do?

Ms. Winter has again proved her incredible grasp of the craft of fiction. Hot Wire has a plot several layers deep. The story of a man and woman is basic to romance novels, but Aeron and Kane are thoroughly realized characters. Both lonely and needy, they have always had to fight for what they needed in life and meeting made that struggle easier. Their lovemaking was graphically erotic and totally satisfying. I read this book in one take because it was too interesting to stop. As the plot unwound and I learned more about the characters, I became enthralled with their story. Kane and Aeron each fulfilled a need that the other had. At heart they were both open and loving. Thank you, Ms. Winter, for another gratifying read.
