| Like a Wolf with a Bone by Shelly Laurenston Eggie rescues Darla from a horde of humans and takes her back to his home to protect her while trying to find out who wants her dead. Mix in his family and her family with their constant bickering amongst themselves and other packs and you have action packed adventures. Trademark Laurenston humor mixed with quirky characters make this novella a page turner. I loved how Darla was quiet and unassuming on the surface but once you got to know her she showed lots of depth. Eggie, the strong silent alpha type, was steamrolled by Darla and didn't even realize it!
Wed or Dead by Cynthia Eden I just love a story with a strong heroine and this one delivers! Kayla is smart, strong, and still retains her feminine side and Gage is her perfect counterpart. He is confident in his wife and allows her to be herself – up to a point that is. He is still her protector! Loved their dynamics! You won't be disappointed with this book! Both stories are quick-paced, the characters well rounded, and the plots entertaining and perfect for the length of the stories. Reading this book will make you search for more by both of these authors!
