Martina Lewis was getting over a bad relationship. After finding her cowboy fiancé in bed with another woman she vowed to never have anything to do another one. She had moved to Texas and was living on her friend's Ben and Kate's farm. She kept her horse, Twister there and lived in a small cabin. She had stayed away from all men, but because she did barrel racing competition she had to be around the dreaded cowboys continuously.

Jake Harrison hadn't been on the rodeo circuit in awhile, but since he needed exposure to sell his horses or lose his ranch, had decided there was no better place than the rodeo. When he watched Marni ride around the barrels he was immediately interested. He was known as they type to 'love 'em and leave 'em, but thought his charm and good looks could win her over.

A cowboy who was a handsome flirt and a woman who wanted nothing to do with that type of man. Could they ever get to know the real people they were to form a lasting relationship?

In TO CATCH A COWGIRL, Ms. Walter does an excellent job of writing about the life in the rodeo circuit. Her characters come alive in this story and the dialogue is very real. I enjoyed the novel very much and would read anything else this author had to offer.
