| Olivia's sister Mary has been a vampire out of control. She's gotten involved with a gang of rogues and ended up on the wrong side of a hunter. Her death has led Olivia into a life of trying to help vampires survive without taking human blood. On a girl's night out her friend Athena takes her to a bar where she met Marcus Willoughby, the vampire owner. Lust and too much booze contribute to her asking to be turned. Now she has to deal with the consequences.
Sophie Athens contributes to this excellent series with a book about the repercussions of blood lust and just plain lust. Athena and client Britta add a lot to the flow of the story. Without them as catalysts we might just have a good romance that ends in spite of the tarot card. Athena's acceptance of vampirism helps Olivia realize not everyone rejects that state of affairs. Britta helps her understand that self control is the most important part of any life, the one trait her sister Mary never had. The author gives us a unique addition to the series.
