Sian Lazuro is on the run. As a cop she witnessed a cold-blooded murder and the murderer escaped custody. A bullet meant for her killed her father. They've found her again, but she is sure she can outrun them in her trusty Mini Cooper, Baby. She is driving Baby like a maniac when she cut through an alley and sees something big flash in front of her then everything went black.

Diego Leonides is a Slayer, a member of the Guardian's League. It is his duty to slay Outcasts, vampires who kill humans. Diego was struck by a car that came out of nowhere. The driver's skull was fractured; she'd need extensive healing before his Steward, James, could see to his wounds. Suddenly Eli, head of the Council, appeared; announcing he officially recognized Diego's mate on behalf of the Council. Diego wasn't thrilled about being bonded for eternity to a human, but he had no idea how to explain everything to the unconscious stranger in his bed.

This first book in the Guardian's League series is an exciting read. The characters are all well-developed, strong individuals whose desires are often at odds, but they handle the controversy in a way that is endearing. The several plot lines are well planned and expertly executed, creating an intriguing and satisfying experience for the reader. The different lines of the plot all come together smoothly without any frayed loose ends. Even while the characters resent being forced together, they can't resist each other physically and express those wanton irresistible desires many times throughout, making it an arousing experience for the reader as well. The plot is great, the characters are great and the sex is great. Hunted: The Guardian's League Book 1 is a great book. Don't miss it.
