| Diana Nostrum grew up believing her father’s obsession with vampires was a form of insanity. She never believed that vampires truly existed. Frank Nostrum had been hunting vampires for years. The vampire community decided something needed to be done. The elders decided that to punish Frank Nostrum they would give Diana a drop of vampire blood that would start a bonding process. By not giving her anymore vampire blood she would then go insane, craving the blood of the vampire she had tasted. She would then have to be hunted down to prevent her from killing humans and vampires alike. Lucian was chosen to be the one to share his blood with Diana. Lucian felt that Frank needed to be punished but he did not like the fact they could be torturing an innocent woman for her father’s deeds. He is then convinced that Diana knows about her father’s activities. He begins the bonding process as ordered by the elders only to find that Diana may be his soul-mate. Feeling Diana’s pain he finds he can not leave her to be tortured alone. He watches and helps to soothe her need and looks for facts that prove that Diana is as guilty as her father. If she is guilty he will see her punishment fulfilled.
